Our tartan ribbon is custom made from authentic plain weave featherweight 8 ounce woollen tartan material.
Each ribbon strip is hemmed on both sides along the entire length which makes it considerably thicker than nylon ribbon and therefore unsuitable to use for attaching to wedding invitations, menus etc.
Customers often ask us if thin ribbon is available in a specific tartan, but unfortunately it's just not made, the only thin tartan ribbon on the market comes in just a few tartans like the Royal Stewart or Black Watch.
Our ribbon is ideal for decorating wedding bouquets, tying around the pews at church weddings, flower arrangements and table decorations at Scottish wedding receptions, perfect for adding a touch of tartan to any occasion or celebration. The ribbon strips are available in five hundred different Clan, family, district, universal, Canadian and Irish tartans.
Only sold in a set of five strips, each strip measures 137 cm (54") long. Available in widths from 1" to 12", the wider sizes really show the tartan off to stunning effect.
The pattern on each length will vary as the strips are cut from different parts of the tartan bolt.
Please note that our ribbon will only match tartan items made in the same 8 ounce plain weave featherweight fabric, all other products will vary in sett size and colouration.
