Make your own traditional Scottish shortbread with our handcrafted solid hardwood thistle shortbread mould.
Our superior wooden moulds are made from a single piece of sustainable European Beech (Fagus sylvatica) which has a beautiful grain, weighty feel and is finished off with pure, food-safe, tung oil. Looked after carefully, this mould will improve with age and last a lifetime, unlike some poor quality moulds which are made in the Far East from glued pieces of rubberwood.
The shortbread mould is 15cm (6") in size and features a beautifully carved thistle emblem in the centre. This mould has fluted edges to help create a perfect thistle impressed shortbread round. A must have for every Scottish kitchen!
Dust with flour before using and care for your mould by wiping clean with a damp cloth, do not soak or submerge in water. An occasional wipe with food-grade vegetable or olive oil will help maintain the original finish.
